AI-assisted, source-grounded explanation based on the public repository snapshot. It does not replace compatibility or security verification.
Key Capabilities
- Provides inline and alternate-screen terminal rendering modes.
- Renders streaming Markdown, structured tool cards, expandable thinking details, and agent activity.
- Offers command and file completion, @ file references, message history search, and in-session full-text search.
- Shows context progress, TPS, cache-hit rate, token counts, reasoning level, and Git/session information.
- Supports session resume, new sessions, compaction, Markdown export, model selection, and rewind/fork through double-Esc.
- Connects to existing DSH services and registries for agent presets, Skills, MCP, Goals, Todos, subagents, and ask_user_question.
- Includes theme selection, English/Chinese UI switching, and custom JSON themes.
- Uses virtualized rendering, differential terminal output, replay merging, and bounded caches for long sessions.
Useful For
- Running DeepSeek Harness agents from a full-screen terminal interface.
- Monitoring agent activity, token/context usage, and streaming response speed.
- Managing long-running coding or tool-use sessions with resume, search, compaction, and export workflows.
- Using DSH Skills, MCP tools, agent presets, and user-question workflows from a terminal UI.
Who It Fits
- DeepSeek Harness users who prefer terminal-native workflows.
- CLI-focused developers using DSH coding agents.
- Users who need a richer interactive interface for long agent sessions.
Documented Limitations
- Requires a usable terminal TTY, the official dsh CLI, pnpm, and a DEEPSEEK_API_KEY to run models.
- Supports Node ^22.19 or >=24.
- Injected plugin-source context is included in progress statistics but is not independently displayed.
- Real-time model changes fork the session because DSH has no in-place model-switching API.
- Clipboard reading via Ctrl+V depends on PowerShell Get-Clipboard and may silently fail if the clipboard remains locked.
- The TUI does not implement DSH approval-flow UI or sandbox-mode switching via /permission.
- On Windows, the supplied profile can fall back to danger-full-access without approval because a corresponding sandbox backend is unavailable.
- Several Claude Code-named commands, including /vim, /connect, /hooks, and /memory, are explanatory placeholders where DSH has no equivalent mechanism.
