Documented Limitations
- Disabled by default (`enabled: false`) upon installation
- `seam-region` mode cannot take over compaction backends in the host profile without agent preset realm isolation
- Context window resets are strictly constrained to step boundaries to maintain tool-pairing integrity
- Token meter relies on heuristic character-to-token estimates (underestimating CJK and JSON schema tokens)
- Handoff mode does not emit standard `compaction/*` UI telemetry events
- Baseline prefill token counters are stored in memory and reset upon process restarts
