dsh-popout-sidebar
A DeepSeek Harness Web UI sidebar for tracking artifacts and browsing workspace files, with a pop-out tab view.
Install
$ dsh plugin --profile web add dshmarketPlugin Overview & Capabilities
AI-assisted organization based on the public repository snapshot. The content must be grounded in source evidence and does not replace compatibility or security verification.
Key Capabilities
- Tracks files created or modified through write and edit tool calls, plus workspace changes detected around bash and pwsh execution.
- Shows an artifacts list and lazily expandable workspace file tree that follows workspace changes.
- Previews code and plain text with highlighting and line numbers, rendered Markdown, images, and HTML in a sandboxed iframe.
- Displays deleted and added snippets for files modified through edit.
- Provides copy-path and @path conversation-reference actions.
- Opens the sidebar at /popout-sidebar in a separate browser tab and refreshes its data automatically.
- Adds settings for default expansion, automatic refresh, file-tree visibility, and minimum panel width.
- Coexists with other sidebar plugins by positioning itself to their left.
Useful For
- Review agent-generated artifacts without leaving the DeepSeek Harness web interface.
- Browse and preview files in the active workspace.
- Move artifact inspection to a second monitor through a pop-out tab.
- Inspect edit diffs and reference workspace files in a conversation.
Who It Fits
- DeepSeek Harness Web UI users
- Developers working with agent-created workspace files
- Users who want a dedicated artifacts and file-browser sidebar
Documented Limitations
- Requires DeepSeek Harness Web UI and a service restart plus browser hard refresh after installation.
- The pop-out page refreshes automatically every 1.5 seconds.
- Long file content is automatically truncated in previews.
- The standalone pop-out page uses a light scheme by default; dark mode requires the ?scheme=dark URL parameter.
- Clearing an artifact removes only its sidebar entry and does not delete the file from disk.
