dsh-provider-model-configurator
A DSH Web bundle that adds a dedicated settings page for managing provider model entries and copying model metadata from pi-ai presets or configured providers.
Install
$ dsh plugin --profile web add github:LiangYin233/dsh-provider-model-configurator#v0.3.9Repository Intelligence
AI-assisted, source-grounded explanation based on the public repository snapshot. It does not replace compatibility or security verification.
Key Capabilities
- Adds a standalone Provider Model Configurator section alongside the official Models settings page.
- Lists explicit model entries for configured providers and supports editing or deleting them.
- Creates new model entries manually or pre-fills fields by copying from the pi-ai preset catalog or another provider.
- Manages model ID, display name, context window, maximum output tokens, text/image input modalities, and reasoning-effort mappings.
- Writes changes through the `llm-pi-ai` settings document and preserves fields not edited by the form when overwriting.
- Converts catalog-backed routes to explicit model lists when applying configuration, retaining catalog models and folding in `modelOverrides`.
Useful For
- Add metadata for a newly released model before the pi-ai catalog is updated.
- Configure reasoning-effort options for custom-provider models.
- Copy an existing preset model configuration as a starting point for a custom model.
- Review and maintain explicit model entries for configured DSH providers.
Who It Fits
- DeepSeek Harness Web users
- Users configuring custom or OpenAI-compatible LLM providers in DSH
- Advanced users who need model-level context, output, modality, or reasoning settings
Documented Limitations
- Target provider routes must already be configured in the official Models page.
- Deletion applies only to explicit `models` entries; catalog-only routes have no deletable explicit entries.
- Precise reasoning-effort names are available only for registered copy-source providers; dormant catalog providers do not expose that metadata.
- Exact pi-ai reasoning wire-value mappings are not exposed through the `llm` service, so the plugin defaults to using effort names as wire values and allows editing them.
- Provider-level API, base URL, and key configuration are outside this plugin's scope.
- The README specifies DSH 0.1.0-rc.6 or later and requires `pnpm` on PATH for installation.
