dsh-companion is a DeepSeek Harness web plugin for creating voice-and-personality companions per chat session. It adds a configuration UI, automatic reply narration, speak and cheer tools, and per-session scheduled greetings backed by a locally hosted Qwen3-TTS service.

Documented Limitations

Requires a separately deployed local Qwen3-TTS FastAPI service on a mac mini, proxied at 127.0.0.1:3091.
The plugin activates only when explicitly included as dsh-companion in a companion agent preset.
Voice previews are neither cached nor pre-generated, so each preview invokes Qwen3-TTS and may take several seconds.
The inherited /cheer-at and /cheer-text commands do not affect companion greeting schedules; schedules must be configured in the UI.
Requires Node.js 22.5 or later.
